Helping Others Grocery Trip

When my kids were little I always thought we should have drive through pharmacies, so we didn't have to take the feverish kiddos into the store. This keeps us from sharing their germs and keeps them snuggled up in the car seat. I am so glad it is now available for mommies most places.

My son made my day when he called and told me his whole family was sick with bad colds, and what they really needed was Noni's chicken noodle soup. How blessed I feel to live near enough to make and take soup to them. My heart rejoiced when I walked up to the door and my 3 year old granddaughter hollered over her shoulder that they all would be okay now cuz Noni brought her soup. I stopped at the store to get the ingredients, so I picked up Kleenex, juice, crackers and a few other things to keep them from having to go out for a few days. Believe me it was welcomed.

Having sick little ones is hard enough, but when parents catch the same bug it is just miserable. Any way we can help out with picking up prescriptions or getting groceries, juice and tissues is such a help. I try to be that person someone to call for help, not only for my children's family, but for anyone who needs it.

It doesn't cost much or take a lot of time, and it is so appreciated when you just pick up a few items. Just a little spreading JOY: Jesus, Others, then Yourself. Next time I post on Facebook that I am under the weather I know there will be a friend at my doorstep with just what I need.

In Him,
Joyful

  1. And you also called Nina and gave her soup just because you knew how much she loves your soup. No telling who else you did that for.
And I want your blog followers to know that you were also FASTING when you did this.
You are truly one of the nicest people I know.
