A Time For Every Season Under Heaven

God has given us a time for each and everything in life. Robert Frost wrote one of my favorite quotes, "The best way out is always through." We have to get through the hard times to get to the joyful times. It also assures us that every storm has a beginning and end. His promise is that during the blessings and the hardships He will walk beside us. We never have to face anytime in life alone.
Life is a series of seasons, times that begin and end. We mourn those things that pass out of our lives that we miss. We look forward to those gatherings and experiences that are ahead of us.
Ron and I went through infertility and unsuccessful adoptions to get to the four glorious children God had planned for us. Our lives as parents had its ups and downs but so much love. Now as our house is empty with our kids grown and gone we are at a new phase of life. Our careers and community have been an enormous part of our lives. We look forward to finishing our careers and moving into the next phase of life together.

Ecclesiastes 3 New International Version (NIV)

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

In Him,
Joyful
