Tanner Will Be 32 Tomorrow. Wait, He is Just a Little Boy

A precious moment with my Mom.

Mom loves pictures. 

She was always taking pictures, putting them in albums, sharing them with us.

Tomorrow my Tanner will be 32 years old.

Yesterday Mom looked at a recent picture of him.

“Yes, I can see that this is my Tanner,

But he is a little boy. How can this be?”

Mom has lost a lot of memories but she could see his eyes.

In her eyes they are still her Tanner’s eyes.

It just doesn’t quite make sense that they are in his now handsome man face.

You know, I still see my little boy too.

Thanks for reminding me of who my son was.

Years slip by and life changes.

I used to struggle to keep up with my fast walking Mom.

Now I help her through her day.

What hasn’t changed is her eyes and all the love she has for each of us.

Her eyes tell me so much.

Happy Birthday my Tanner.
