Making a List, then Nap

There are so many things on my list to accomplish and I sit a bit overwhelmed with getting started. Right after online service Ron and I are going to sit down to make a list of what we want to accomplish while we are home. This isn't going to just be a to do list but a hookup list. No we aren't getting kinky after all these years. It is a list of people we want to stay connected with. Last week I tried to meet at our town's pond with various friends in our own cars just to catch up face to face or mask to mask. We are recognizing that our consumerism has buried us with more than this 2400 square foot house can hold. Since there are only two of us this is a pretty ridiculous realization. So we are both digging deep to rid out what we don't need or love. I am excited to keep moving toward a more minimalist lifestyle. Now if we would just keep our devices away from Amazon and the temptation to add not subtract to our clutter.

This is a peaceful time for us. There is a bit of guilt in saying that when so many are suffering. But we are home and that is rare for Ron and I. We don't stay home much. There is always an adventure to be had out and about. The truth is I usually look forward to a few weeks home between family visits or road trips. Our kids in Washington are thinking of moving here for job opportunities and that wets our appetite for a trip in our RV. It would be essential for us to drive up there and help them move. Right? Ron is checking to see if the hot springs in Utah are open. So you see we are easily distracted from the task of ridding out and staying put. Pray for us!

Kylie and our kitties have been happy with the routine of us all being together at home. We are so blessed that others care for our critters when we are off adventuring in our RV, on a sailboat to the Bahamas, or just cruising in my fancy car.

 This has been a new normal for us. Lists have kept us doing not sitting, connecting not isolating. So it is time to close this post and have a coffee meeting with my man. Building a list for him, for me and for us to accomplish together. There are already three items for me to accomplish today. In between watching our church, our son preach and other online services a lot will get done at the Barber's house. Perhaps after list building we will be exhausted and need a nap. There is always tomorrow. We are home anyway.
