So yesterday was a spit day. What??!! We went to the pool for Jenn's birthday and just got goofy. Too much sun, too much fun and oh yes, being in the water. Glorious day. Eventually our giddiness at being together sunk low and Jenn and I were at one point in the pool practicing our old spitting techniques from our childhood. Jenn believed she was the absolute best at spitting between her teeth. Not so much! She pondered that if she had some floss her skills would return. We kept asking Clara who was sitting sunning to bend over and let us spit into her cleavage. Totally inappropriate! Silliness is a place we don't tend to visit enough in life. I am so grateful for a day to not dwell on life's struggles but release our goofiness even if it is a tad inappropriate.
So atractive spitting from the pool. What wonderful memories of time with friends, chosen sisters. We all need to make time for letting loose and acting like children. I would say that we took sixty years off our lives yesterday. Jenn eight, me six and Clara ten. Clara was by far the more mature of our little group. So much fun in the sun.
