Mostly we need love and acceptance. Heather led with love on the election almost eight years ago when Trump won the White House. She baked cookies and took them to any and everyone. Whether people were celebrating the outcome or mourning the results, they got cookies. What I hope for the next few months in America is for us to love one another and perhaps share a cookie.
I am actively snoozing those who spew political opinions whether left or right on Facebook. Nobody is going to change someone else’s mind with their bully posts. What is a better way is to appreciate where others come from to get to their stance. Maybe I need to just put a cookie meme in the comments.
Trust me that I will be baking cookies in November and believing that no matter the outcome of the elections our country will thrive. So let’s all take a breath, put on our aprons and share a sweet hug to others. Be sure to put them in clear ziplocks not red or blue.
